Fire Island, New York
Amazing island off the coast of Long Island. The place where I used to go to the beach in the summer. Isn't it awsome?

Thoughts

I have been pondering some things lately that deeply concern me. Are we as Christians, being brought up in a Christian school, more likely to fall away from God than the Christians that go to public school where they actually have to live out their faith and become closer to God. I remember on the first day of Spiritual emphasis week the speaker told us that he hates coming to speak at Christian schools. He said that we go, only because we are forced to go, and that we usually don't care what the person is talking about. In public schools, Christians join Christian clubs and things like that because they want to worship God and be with other Christians.
Please leave comments of your opinions of what I have said. Thanks.

Hey,
I think going to a christian school has been a huge blessing personaly. But we aren't thankful for it.And the thing is we are so apethetic about everything. We think we know everything there is to know about the Bible but we don't and we aren't always willing to learn. Thats my opinion personally. Good luck at your soccer game tonight!

Hey! What's cookin' Erik?

Sorry, but I personally don't agree with this. Going to a Christian school allows us to fortify ourselves with the truth. In a public school, you may HAVE to have a stronger faith to survive, but you're more than likely to not do so. There's incredible peer pressure to not follow God at a public school, but when you go to a Christian school, whether you like it or not, you're at least sub-consciously absorbing Christian truth.

Public schooling is more a chance to lose your faith than to help it.
